WHO IS ROMAN?

Roman Templeton is a composer specializing in contemporary concert music and film scoring. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, he studied under Dr. Alejandro Rutty and Dr. Mark Engebretson and has written for a range of ensembles, including UNCG’s Present ~ Continuous and the Winnfield Quartet.

Beyond the concert stage, Roman has established a strong presence in the independent film community. He has scored multiple award-winning short films, with recognition at festivals such as the Carmichael Film Festival. His work on projects like Dealer’s Choice and This Is Not an Elective has reached national audiences, with screenings at Filmapalooza and Freedom Festival International.

Roman’s compositional voice is shaped by the needs of each project, whether for stage or screen. His music seeks not only to support the philosophy of each project but also to amplify the narrative and key emotions, creating scores that elevate the work they accompany.
